Therapy Approach and Philosophy

My therapy approach and philosophy is both holistic and multi-sensory. My goal is to provide therapy that is uniquely right for every client. This is accomplished by engaging the clients learning style and strengths, through mutual respect and trust, support for where the client is right now and the shared vision to accomplish positive results.

My approach to therapy is one that ignites and encourages learning through creativity and movement, which foster motivation, enthusiasm, and progress. Applying in-depth knowledge and compassion, I incorporate Sensory Integration/Processing techniques along with hard science and artistic skills to assess, diagnose and treat the “whole” child or adult.

My therapy approach can support a variety of communication delays and disorders as well as communication and vocal enhancement with clients of all ages.

My Therapy Space

“not your typical speech therapy office”

Take a quick tour of my therapy space. Where you provide therapy can optimize the entire experience for the client — the therapist and enhance therapy itself. My 900 square ft office space allows for limitless possibilities. I can create what is needed for each individual. The different areas allow for transitions and flexibility. There are areas for more quiet activities and areas for more movement to enhance motor learning principles. Depending on what your child needs will determine what I put away or keep out — the space can be busy or more sparse because I work with your child’s sensory needs in order to optimize speech and language.

“Lynn’s approach has always been to treat the whole child. She deeply understands that progress can only be made when one takes into account a child's individual needs and strengths, not just the areas of weakness. She recognizes that each person must follow a different path in order to make progress.”

— April Stark, Mom

“I have worked with Lynn professionally for over 10 years. She is one of the only speech pathologists I know that has such an extensive knowledge of sensory systems and treats the whole child when providing therapy. Movement, sensory integration and speech all go hand in hand and Lynn does a brilliant job in providing just that when working with her clients.”
